My own financial journey showed me just how empowering it is to take control of your finances. Facing and overcoming financial challenges at a young age sparked a lasting commitment to helping others — not just to build wealth, but to maintain peace of mind, confidence, and a sense of control.

I grew up in the Midwest and was recruited to swim at West Point. That experience built a strong foundation of resilience, discipline, and leadership that still guides me today.

After serving in the Army, I spent several years in brand management and marketing, working with iconic brands like Jell-O® and Got Milk?®. But it was during that chapter of my life that my interest in personal finance deepened, and I pursued further education in the field. I wanted to use my skills to make a more personal and meaningful impact on people’s lives.

I went on to serve with several advisory firms, including Astoria Strategic Wealth. When I later had the chance to join The USAA Educational Foundation to create financial literacy content for the military community, it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up — it allowed me to give back to a group I deeply respect and connect with. Now, as part of the Astoria Strategic Wealth team, I’m honored to work closely with clients, helping them navigate life transitions and achieve long-term goals with clarity and confidence.

I’ve called Austin, Texas home for over 15 years. For much of that time, I was a single mom raising two incredible daughters, Shannon and McKayla. Today, I’m happily married to my husband Rob, a retired Air Force Chief. As new empty nesters, we enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on our favorite sports teams.

To me, financial planning isn’t just about numbers — it’s about people, their stories, and helping them move forward with purpose.
